Duane Wallace, Executive Director
Duane was the CEO of the South Lake Tahoe Chamber of Commerce for 12 years.  He is an ACE, Accredited Chamber Executive. He is a graduate of the U.S. Chamber Institute for Organizational Management in 2000 at USD. Duane was been an elected member of the South Tahoe Public Utility District Board from 1991-2007. He also has been a member of the El Dorado County Water Agency Board and the El Dorado County Joint Water & Power Authority. In the summer of 2000, he and his wife traveled to Moscow, Irkusk, and Lake Baikal where he was a presenter at an international conference on a sustainable tourism economy in an environmentally sensitive area.
     Duane was involved in the planning and served as a panelist for the Presidential Summit in Lake Tahoe in 1997 and is a past
member of The Federal Advisory Committee, which reports to the Administration and White House on Tahoe regional environmental matters. At age 21, He opened a franchise steak house restaurant in South Lake Tahoe which he owned from 1975 to 1991 and owned a second steak house in Carson City Nevada from 1980 to 1990. He also worked at Aspen Business Brokers 1989 to 1994. Specializing in business opportunities & commercial real estate.
     Duane has served as an Adjunct Faculty member at Lake Tahoe Community College, teaching business and personnel supervision. He is happily married to Tami with four children, Ryan, Miles, Allyssa, and Christopher. Duane's pastimes include fishing, reading, bicycling, and coaching football and wrestling. He iwas a Board member of the Boys and Girls Club of South Lake Tahoe, a founding member of the Lake Tahoe Education Foundation, and a former church youth leader. Just prior to accepting the Executive Director position at the Boys & Girls Club of El Dorado County Western Slope, Duane was an intern drug and alcohol counselor at Sierra Recovery Center.

Kelly Bridges, Program Director

Kelly has lived in El Dorado county since 1970. She graduated from El Dorado Union High School and has an AS degree in Animal Husbandry from Sierra College in Rocklin. Kelly lives in Placerville with her husband Jerry and has raised three great kids. Before joining the Boys & Girls Club staff, Kelly worked for Gold Oak Union School District for 18 years as lead bus driver. She has been involved with 4-H for 16 years at many levels, including "Swine Resource Leader" at the county level and on the Jr. Livestock Auction committee. Kelly says, "I love kids and love what they have to offer.  They are our future. The club is a wonderful place for kids to come and be themselves. The community is very important to me and there isn't a better place than the Boys & Girls club to bring the two together."

Kyleen Cornell, Resource Development Director
Kyleen joined the Club's staff in February 2006. She lives in Garden Valley with her husband Charley and raises dairy goats. A third generation Californian, Kyleen moved to El Dorado County in 2001. She has a Bachelor of Arts in Music and one in English from Notre Dame de Namur University in Belmont, California. After over 20 years working in the high tech business, and wanting to make a bigger difference in her community, she decided a more rural surrounding was in order. She chose El Dorado County because of its beautiful landscapes and friendly people. It was the desire to help the kids of our community that drew her to the Boys & Girls Club.

Heather Grudin, Placerville Unit Director

Heather has been working for the Boys &Girls Club since she was seventeen, starting out as a Youth Development Professional working at the Cameron Park Club during the school year, and during the summer program in Placerville. Heather worked for the Boys & Girls Club El Dorado County Western Slope for two years. She then moved with her family to Southern California where she worked for the Boys & Girls Club of Camarillo for two years while also going to college. Heather and her family moved back to El Dorado County in February 2008 when she once again joined for our Boys & Girls Club staff team, this time as our Placerville Unit Director. Heather loves all of the youth she works with on a day to day basis. Working with the youth is a passion for her - helping them reach their full potential. Working at the club has introduced her to the need that we have for Family, Child, and School Social Workers in El Dorado County. Heather is currently going to school so she can get her Master’s Degree in Social Work.

Jackie Kiely, Director of Operations
Jackie is our Club's Director of Operations, overseeing all of our clubhouses. She has a BA in Psychology from California State University, Sacramento and an AA in Behavioral Science from Moorpark College. Jackie lives in Cameron Park with her two wonderful children who attend Ponderosa High School. She is committed to helping Club members grow and be productive, caring, and responsible. "I am thrilled to be in this position. We have a talented, dedicated staff, a generous devoted board, and a group of wonderful volunteers who make time to come share their talents with our members. I am excited about the future of our Club."

Brittney.jpg Brittney McNulty, Cameron Park/Rescue Unit Director
Britney is the Unit Director of the Cameron Park clubhouse and is currently working toward a degree in Liberal Studies, which will allow her to become a teacher after she is credentialed. She lives in Placerville and is attending school at Sacramento State University. Brittney has a definite passion for working with children and is determined to show every child she works with, the love, compassion and direction they need to help them reach their full potential.

Connie is a native of El Dorado County whose families settled in the area during the Gold Rush. She worked for the Pollock Pines School District from 1993-2005 administering the CARE Program for elementary grade students at the Emigrant Trail Campus and Sierra Ridge Middle School. She became involved with the Boys & Girls Club in 2001 when a satellite site was established on the Emigrant Trail School grounds. Initially working part-time after the school day ended, she very soon found herself as the Unit Director. Connie continued working part-time for both the school and Boys & Girls Club until accepting a position as Executive Assistant. She has since become our Director of Administration. Connie currently attends University of San Francisco and is scheduled to graduate in December 2008.Contact Connie

 

Heidi Messer, Teen Director - Placerville

Heidi joined our staff in August 2004 and was a Youth Development Professional until becoming our Teen Director. Before the kids arrive each day, Heidi helps out as Office Aide to the Executive Staff. She currently attends Folsom Lake College majoring in Liberal Studies so she can become an elementary school teacher. Although Heidi loves kids of all ages, she has always felt connected and close with the teens. "As Teen Director I want to get more teens more involved with not only coming to the club, but really participating and helping the club and community out. Our programs such as Torch Club, Peer Counseling and Junior Staff teach the teens leadership skills, responsibility and dedication and help them to move up and work with each other and our younger members. I'm really proud to be a part of the change we're making with our teens and our kids."

TerriS.JPG Leslie Roy, Pollock Pines Unit Director

Leslie grew up in Lolo, Montana. She has been married for 19 years and has two beautiful daughters ages 10 & 12. She has worked for Pollock Pines Central family resource center and currently works part time for the El Dorado Center for the Visually Impaired in the town of El Dorado. Leslie was drawn to the Pollock Pines clubhouse it because she knew the staff and could trust them with her kids. Leslie has been a volunteer at the Pollock Pines schools and is well aquainted with the staff at both Pinewood and Sierra Ridge. She is the current President of the Sierra Ridge PTC and in her spare time she hosts scrapbook camps. She started working for our Club in August of 2007. She enjoys working with kids and this was the perfect place. Leslie says, "I know these kids and the ones that I don't well it does not take long to get to know them. It is important that parents know who their kids are with and where they are. I get to do that and I want parents to feel as good about leaving their kids with me as I have with my own."

Eileen Tillotson, Georgetown Unit Director
Eileen was born and raised in Placerville. She has lived in Alameda and Sacramento working for JC Penney and other companies. Eileen, her husband Darren and daughter Chelsea live in Garden Valley, where they have lived since returning to El Dorado county in 2000. Eileen has worked at Georgetown School since 2001 as an Instructional Aide, Yard Duty Aide, and most recently as a Cook. She has been a Girl Scout leader, tutor, and has been involved with the Georgetown Parent Teacher Organization. Eileen loves spending time with her family and loves to read.
